Sugared Almonds

A word about our sugared almonds.... Wedding favours or bridal favours, as they are sometimes known, make perfect traditional keepsake gifts for all your guests. Originating in Italy, where they are known as Bomboniere, the Italians use delicate tulles and fine boxes to encapsulate 5 sugared almonds. These sugared almonds all have a specific meaning - Health, Wealth, Happiness, Long Life and Fertility. Sugared almonds are not the only choice of wedding favour filling we have to offer. We have chocolate dragees which look exactly like sugared almonds but they have a chocolate centre instead of the traditional almond nut. Our sugared almonds and dragees are available in a number of colour finishes to further enhance your wedding favours. The sugared almond colours are:- White, Ivory, Lilac, Pink, Blue, Gold and Silver. The dragee colours are:- White, Ivory, Gold and Silver.

On the UK Wedding Favours web site you will also find a section labelled 'finishing touches' where you will find many 'last minute' items such as wedding garters, wedding speech books, wedding cameras, wedding bubbles, wedding guest books, confetti for your tables, wedding chocolates. In this section you will also find an area where you can purchase sugared almonds available in 0.5kg packs. We also offer the chocolate dragees in 0.5kg packs.
The sugared almonds and dragees are again available in all the colours listed above.

Our sugared almonds and dragees are the very highest quality and our stocks are continually rotated so that the 'sell by' date is always a good distance away. Typically our sugared almonds and dragees have a 2 year shelf life.

All our sugared almonds originate in Italy and are manufactured by Buratti who have been producing high quality confectionery for almost 40 years. UK Wedding Favours have chosen these high quality sugared almonds and dragees to compliment our ongoing policy of offering the very highest quality of wedding favours.

The sugared almonds we use contain a whole peeled almond which is then encased in a fine sugar coating. Be sure to look out for the cheap alternatives that only use 'sliced' almonds and are usually coated in a large amount of low quality sugar to fill out the size of the sweet to make up for the lack of almond centre.

In our children's section, we feel that the sugared almonds and dragees are not ideally suited for these wedding favours and so we offer a choice of mini eggs, jelly beans or smarties. (real winners with the kids)
